Financial Aid Available to You and Your Family
Financial means cannot be a barrier to families seeking to provide their child with an academically rich education alongside meaningful encounters with Christ. There are two kinds of resources families can consider to subsidize the tuition. One is the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and the other is a School Tuition Organization (STO) scholarship. Read below for information on each.
ESAs – Empowerment Scholarship Accounts
The annual tuition per scholar is $9,700. More than likely, most of our families will apply for an Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA), which provides about $7,000 per year for students in 1-5 grades. For Kindergarten students, the ESA dollar amount is $4,000 to $5,000.
Every family in Arizona is eligible to access an ESA for their K-12 students to pay for tuition. Higher funds are given for children with a qualifying learning and/or developmental disabilities. The process is easy, and families can count on these funds for next year.
Also, we reduce tuition for families that qualify for free and reduced lunch, according to state and federal guidelines. Learn more information about tuition reduction.
Please keep in mind that there is a 2.5% processing fee when you use Class Wallet to direct pay the vendor. It is recommended that you adjust your payment higher to pay the vendor in the full amount as shown on your invoice.
STOs – Student Tuition Organizations
Great Heart Christos is also committed to exploring all opportunities to partner with School Tuition Organizations (STOs) as an alternative option to the ESA program. Some families may be interested in applying to a School Tuition Organization (STO). STOs are established to receive income tax credit contributions that fund scholarships for students to attend qualified private schools in Arizona. They are authorized by the state to collect private school tax credits and award them to schools and students who apply directly with their organization. Great Hearts Christos has partnered with three STOs to support our families who would like to use private school tax credits to fund their child’s education: Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization, School Choice Arizona and/or Arizona Leadership Foundation. Substantial corporate tax credit scholarships await lower income Christos families who apply to School Choice Arizona and Arizona Leadership Foundation.

Finally, Great Heart Christos is committed to providing low-income tuition assistance to qualifying students, so a classical Christian education is within reach of all families. Please know that you can apply and receive funds from all three of our partner STOs. However, you cannot use both STOs and an ESAs at the same time.
